If you are interested in acting in Films, TV or on the Stage, there are a number of ways to get into acting. You have to take the initiative and start somewhere. One of the best places to begin is to take some acting or drama classes. If you can't attend one of the big acting or drama schools, start locally. Acting and Talent Agencies often look for emerging talent - and they look to drama schools for potential actors and actresses. Drama Schools also have good connections with acting agencies and talent scouts ... that means you get a good start when it comes to getting that all important first audition. Also, look out for acting classifieds - that's where you find ads. for Film and TV Extras. Although your first part may only involve being onscreen for fifteen seconds, that's enough to get you noticed. Beware of film companies who charge you money to get a part.
